Woah, where did the year go? Seriously!
I started 2016 with so many good intentions, and lo and behold December’s here and Christmas is almost upon us – eek!
A lot has happened in this last year. Some good, some bad, and some just plain ugly, but I’ve learnt to embrace it all. That’s what life’s all about – you take the good with the bad and vice versa.
Someone asked me the other day if I’d done my Christmas shopping. I just had to laugh; my usual organised self hasn’t been that at all, and I’m definitely going to be joining in on that mad last-minute Christmas shop buzz – thank God for online shopping!
A big shout out goes to Left Bank Six. Last week I posted my review on my Freddy Jeans, and my new faux leather Freddy pants have just arrived – I can’t wait to wear them these bad boys during the holidays!
In other news, I can officially bake, well sort of. After reading great reviews and seeing some amazing photos online, I had to try the wine brownies, which turned out to be divine and surprisingly not a failure. Stay tuned as I’ll be posting my wine brownies recipe this week.
Ugly Christmas Jumpers are unfortunately back with a vengeance. Shop racks are full of silly Christmas jumpers with elves’ bodies and flashing lights – they truly are hideous, and I absolutely refuse to wear one, even in the name of good Christmas spirit. At my wits end, I reached out to friends for help to find me a ‘pretty’ or ‘cool’ Christmas jumper. CC came to the rescue once again and helped be find a cute preppy Christmas pullover that I shall be donning on the last day of work and possibly Christmas Eve. If you’re in the same dilemma, watch out for a post later on about how to make Christmas jumpers cool, and yes it is possible!
The peculiar world of celebrities has gone unusually quiet, however, we’re bound to see some Christmas scandals once all the festive revelry begins. I could talk about Kanye West, but I choose not to…
There’s probably a lot more to say and do, but I’ve suffered brain freeze, so for now, I’ll sit back, enjoy a glass of my favourite Archangel Wine from New Zealand and get into the Christmas spirit.
Till next time…
