Who Cares If You’re Not a Skateboarder?

When it comes to shoes, I’ve always favored comfort over anything else, but of course the shoe has to look good too! It’s not uncommon to find me in a pair of ballet flats or a pair of old skate shoes. I’ve been wearing them for years, and I’m excited to see that street sneakers have made a massive comeback, and have a huge celebrity following.

The great thing about street sneakers or skate shoes (if you’ve got any sense of style) is that they go with anything. Jeans and skate shoes are a given, but I’m all up for wearing skate shoes with dresses, skirts, shorts…you name it and I’ll wear my skate shoes with anything! These are the ultimate street sneakers that will go with absolutely anything – just call them the chameleon shoe!

According to the latest polls, there’s one street shoe that’s made a comeback, overtaking other popular skate shoe brands like Converse…

Adidas Superstars – If you haven’t got yourself a pair yet, now’s the time.

Both Lily Aldridge and Gigi Hadid are just two celebs who’re embracing the retro sneaker look.

Adidas Superstars have been around since 1969, and they ain’t going anywhere fast. Here are some unique ways (according to the celebs) that you can style your Adidas Superstars with any outfit – they’re like the little black dress, but of sneakers!

Dakota Fanning

Okay, so Dakota Fanning would look great in a paper bag, but she’s bang on trend pairing a pair of Adidas Superstars with an all-black outfit and a bold coloured statement bag!

Gigi Hadid

Take your fashionable gym look to the streets. Gigi Hadid pulls this effortless look off well. It’s amazing how a simple understated turtleneck top, a pair of leggings, oversized sunglasses, and a pair of contrasting sneakers can look. Oh, and let’s not forget about that YSL bag that makes every woman drool.

In fact, supermodel Gigi Hadid loves her trademark Adidas street shoes so much, she’s been spotted in them a number of times. Here she proves that a pair of leather leggings can be totally dressed down – the fluffy pom pom hat is also a nice touch!

Emma Stone

We don’t need any convincing that Emma Stone is a celebrity fashion icon. Her casual everyday gear is just as impressive as her red carpet occasion wear. A long duster jacket, a casual plain white t-shirt and a pair of skinnies together with the obligatory Adidas Superstar trainers is a look any girl can pull off.

Kristen Stewart

The ultimate grunge girl, Kristen Stewart lives in her trusty Adidas sports shoes. A cropped black leather jacket paired with a pair of super skinny jeans and a pair of look-at-me rock ‘n’ roll sunglasses are the perfect match for a pair of white Adidas trainers.

Rita Ora

You can always count on Ms. Ora to team a somewhat feminine outfit with a pair of Adidas street shoes. This is one girl that can really bring together femininity and sporty simultaneously.

Kylie Jenner

While I’m not a fan of any of the Kardashian/Jenner brood, the younger girls do have a decent sense of style. Here Kylie Jenner has created the absolute ensemble that coalesces casual and class with a formfitting dress, a pair of statement oversized sunglasses, a leather purse, and of course her comfy white Adidas shoes!

Karlie Kloss

Karlie Kloss doesn’t need to dress up to stand out. She’s the epitome of street cool in her long woolen wrap coat, flared faded jeans and emblematic skate shoes.

Lily Aldridge

Model Lily Aldridge confirms that wearing matching branded clothes can be done seamlessly with her matching signature striped Adidas jacket and shoes. The baseball cap, along with the oversized sunnies make for a great incognito look.

Emma Roberts

If you’re looking for any kind of validation to wear white Adidas trainers out and about while running errands, take a page out of Emma Roberts’ book and team them with a pair of distressed ripped jeans and an oversized sweater.
