Cara Proves Tweed Suits are…

In the past, I’d have rarely described a tweed suit as cool. In fact, tweed anything wouldn’t have crept up on my radar, fact! To me, tweed suits have always been associated with a certain circle – and this certainly never included the ‘It girls’ from London…think more along the lines of the gentrified country folk who love to hunt; it’s always been them who’ve favoured anything tweed…

But if anyone can breathe life into dull mumsy fabrics and tweed suits, it’s one of my favourite fashion forward muses – Cara Delevingne…

Recently, Cara was spotted in a stylish tweed suit with edge. ‘Punky’ would be one word I’d use to describe her most recent winning tweed look…’edgy’ would be another.

Dressed in a designer leather trimmed tweed suit for the trailer viewing of her imminent film – Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets in LA, Cara proved that tweed fabrics are back thanks to the help of a stylish couture tweed ensemble from Alexandre Vauthier’s Spring 2017 collection.

A combination of asymmetrical hemlines, chunky zippers, squared exaggerated shoulders and a sleek patent-leather trim, make this designer tweed suit a highly coveted ensemble this season.

I also love how Cara kept the rest of the look simple, abandoning showy accessories for something more subtle, making her gorgeous trendy tweed suit the focal point.

Not only did she forgo bold jewelry, her makeup was comparably soft. Sporting a new platinum blunt bob cut and understated smoky eyes with dusty pink lips and cheeks to match, Cara Delevingne looked more divine than ever…

Who would’ve that there would’ve ever been a tweed suit revival?

Thank you Miss D!

Hot in tweed. Cara D’s appearance at the premiere of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets set tongues wagging…trust her to make a tweed suit sexy!
